Kym is an independent workplace investigator who helps organizations across the public, private, and non-profit sectors respond effectively to employee complaints. Known for her ability to build trust and rapport with witnesses, Kym conducts neutral, thorough investigations that encourage open dialogue and uncover key facts. Her findings are not only well-supported by thoughtful analysis but also reflect a nuanced understanding of context, motivation, and organizational dynamics—enabling decision-makers to respond with clarity and confidence. Beyond investigations, Kym supports workplace culture by conducting climate assessments, consulting on internal investigations, and providing internal workplace investigation training.
Kym brings a multidisciplinary background spanning litigation, education, and mediation. This range of experience informs her integrated approach and helps her navigate complex interpersonal and organizational issues with insight and care. Her natural ability to connect with people puts participants at ease and facilitates candid, productive conversations—even in stressful or high-stakes situations.
Kym earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Kym completed the Association of Workplace Investigators' (AWI) Training Institute and holds the AWI Certificate Holder credential (AWI-CH). She is also a trained mediator with experience mediating civil harassment and other legal disputes.
